In its latest spotlight on lesser-known artists, London’s Dulwich Picture Gallery showcases the brief but bold movement of British printmaking from the 1930s. ‘Cutting Edge: Modernist British Printmaking’ is an exhibition of works from the Grosvenor School of Modern Art, which found inspiration in Futurism and Cubism. Displaying pieces by tutor Claude Flight and his protégées, such as Eveline Syme (‘Outskirts of Vienna’, above), it captures the energy of everyday life in vibrant colour.
